The White Sox are gearing up for their first full-squad workout of spring training, with position players set to report to Arizona on Sunday. This marks a significant step towards the team's goal of improving on last season's impressive 19-game advancement, which saw multiple White Sox players make their Major League debuts.

Among the team's top prospects, Noah Schultz is eager to seize the same opportunity this year. With key position players like Colson Montgomery, Miguel Vargas, and the newly signed slugger Munetaka Murakami already in camp, manager Will Venable has been impressed by the group's cohesion and positive dynamics.

"They're all connected, and that stood out last year. I've talked about it a lot, and I think this group, the guys who have been here, spent a productive offseason together. Some even lived and worked out together. Adding new players who are great human beings and fit right in has further strengthened the team's bond. I'm thrilled to have everyone in the same building, working on baseball together," Venable said.

Despite Schultz's impressive skills, Venable has decided to start the season at Triple A, following a challenging and injury-prone season between Double A and Triple A. Schultz remains focused on his goals, emphasizing his commitment to being the best teammate and pitcher he can be.

"I'm dedicated to being the best teammate and pitcher I can be. While I can't control all the decisions made, my primary goal is to improve daily and prepare for the season," Schultz stated.

Venable emphasizes the importance of building strong habits in the weight room, training room, and throwing programs, laying the foundation for a successful and healthy season. Schultz has been working on simplifying his mechanics, leveraging his tall stature (6'10") to maintain a straightforward and repeatable delivery.

The White Sox are determined to address their struggles with one-run losses, which plagued them last season. Venable believes the revamped bullpen, featuring multiple pitchers capable of throwing over 100 mph, will significantly contribute to this goal.

"I love the idea of having a powerful bullpen, especially if it leads to outs. It's beneficial to have some fast pitchers in the bullpen, and we'll see how it all unfolds. It's a positive development for sure," Venable said.

Veteran reliever Ryan Borucki is also competing for a spot in the bullpen. As a lifelong fan of the White Sox, being on the team is a dream come true for the Mundelein native.

"I have posters everywhere, and there are pictures from my childhood bedroom. My family and I love Chicago sports. We recently re-watched the Bears' playoff victory over the Packers, and it gave us goosebumps," Borucki shared.

The White Sox are poised to make a strong showing in the upcoming season, with their top prospects and improved bullpen, all working towards a common goal.
